30 Day Blog Challenge
In my business life I have had a few people that I have looked up to and aspired to achieve similar success in my endeavours. The first would have to be my Dad! He is the first example of an entrepreneur that I was privy to and I hold him in the highest regard. I think I inherited some of those genes, thanks Dad.
Richard Branson is another person whose unstoppable enthusiasm for business is a complete inspiration, but when it comes to online business I have to say that when I was trying to work out how to change my business model so I could become a Suitcase Entrepreneur, I happily stumbled upon the ultimate Suitcase Entrepreneur herself.
I know this is her challenge and it does seem a bit like I’m playing the teacher’s pet, but let me take you back to where it all began for me and why I am inspired by Natalie Sisson.
I had already made the leap from worker ant to business owner and I still wasn’t completely happy. I thought at the time that I was being a bit ungrateful, but in desperation I started Googling phrases like “living the dream”, “work from anywhere”, “location independent” and it was through one of these searches I came across Nat.
Her blog was so educational and entertaining that it captured me. I then joined a free webinar and got to see a little more of this crazy Kiwi. The more I followed her, the more I knew she was exactly what I was looking for: a guide and a mentor.
I then bought her BYOB guide and participated in the first WE Mastermind program and retreat.
A Mentor and a Friend
To be inspired by someone like Natalie, who I have now come to know in real life is actually an easy task, but the true worth of this friendship is knowing that it really is possible to travel and work and be successful. Her business model is impeccable and it works.
Surrounding oneself with like-mined, successful people who both inspire and encourage is one key to success. Watching and learning is what is required, rather than comparing because everyone’s journey is different.
Who are you inspired by?
